Didion expects new mill to be online by April 2019

May 1, 2018 |

In Wisconsin, Didion expects to have its milling operations back online by April 2019 following the May 2017 explosion that led to five deaths that later led to $1.8 million in OSHA fines that are still under appeal. The company is being coy regarding the cost of the damage or the cost of the rebuild but says it is happy with the progress made on construction despite the long winter. It says the new state-of-the-art mill will be more efficient and safer than the one that was destroyed.
