Boho factor falls to lowest since November 2014

May 10, 2018 |

In Texas, Platts reports that the soybean oil/heating oil futures spread known as the boho factor that promotes or pressures biodiesel blending fell to the lowest level on Wednesday seen since November 2014 at 5.87 cents/gal. The low level should help to promote discretionary biodiesel blending thanks to higher ultra low sulfur diesel futures settling at the highest level seen since February 2015 while soybean futures prices also rose even faster than the ULSD futures.
