EPA administrator grilled by Senate panel over budget and ethical allegations

In Washington, after coming under pressure from Senator Chuck Grassley earlier this week regarding hardship waivers, CNN reports that the Environmental Protection Agency’s administrator was set to face a Senate panel hearing Wednesday to answer for ethical and spending allegations that have been under scrutiny for the past several weeks. Dozens of investigations from his oversized personal security detail to massive raises for staff and his soundproof booth in his office to trips with lobbyists are all under scrutiny including from the Investigator General.
