May 21, 2018 |

In Jamaica, the government is exploring an increase of its ethanol blend to 15% from the current 10% in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to slow down increasing gas prices. The country’s fuel industry is in favor of the move, saying that E15 is proven to not have negative impacts on vehicles. The Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology is jointly looking into the possibility to boost the blend with the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica.
