Brazilian ethanol production soars to near record levels during H1 June

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol production reached its second-highest level since the record was set in 2010/11 at 1.44 billion liters during the first half of June. Anhydrous production hit 700.58 million liters. Hydrous ethanol sales from sugar mills soared during the first half of June to 907.07 million liters, more than 66% higher than the same time last year, while anhydrous sales rose by nearly a quarter on the year to 503.79 million liters. Of the total 1.41 billion liters sold, less than 30 million liters were intended for export while the rest was for domestic consumption.
