Trump’s trade war with Canada could hit ethanol imports hard

In New York state, Seeking Alpha argues that the trade war President Trump has waged against the globe, including Canada, could lead towards retaliation from the northern neighbor against ethanol imports in an effort to hit hard enough to end the war early on. Canada is the US’s largest export destination for ethanol. Canada announced new tariffs last week on 80 products and as a result stocks of major ethanol producers and even one biodiesel producer was negatively hit.
