May ethanol exports fall by nearly 25% on year

In Washington, DTN reports that US Department of Agriculture data published Friday shows May ethanol exports fell by nearly a quarter compared to last year at 91.9 million gallons with Canada retaking its place as the top import destination, pushing out Brazil who had jumped into the top spot in April. Canada took more than a third of the total volume while Brazilian imports fell to fourth place. Canada was also the top destination for biodiesel exports in May, the total of which jumped 60% on the year to 53,800 metric tons. Canada imported 88% of the total.
