Brazilian think tank says RenovaBio could double ethanol production by 2030

In Brazil, Reuters reports that state-run think tank EPE believes RenovaBio could lead to a doubling of ethanol production to 54 billion gallons by 2030 but could also fall between 43 billion and 49 billion liters depending on the scenarios modeled. Of the total, the think tank believes corn ethanol could account for 3.4 billion liters by 2030, primarily in the Midwest region and as part of flex plants that use corn during the sugarcane crush interharvest period.
