Water availability key challenge for proposed VNA biofuel project in Kansas

August 16, 2018 |

In Kansas, the availability of water is the key issue at hand for both local residents and VNA who is promoting the development of a biofuel plant in Sumner County. Meeting with the county’s planning commission at a public hearing, the company said it had no interest in the site if there was the 50 million gallons of water required available. Tests are currently underway to determine what water resources are available. The project will be next discussed at next month’s planning commission meeting where a vote is expected.
