Indonesia expands biodiesel subsidy program to all sectors

In Indonesia, as part of the shift towards 20% biodiesel consumption from September 1, Reuters reports that the president signed a revision of the Estate Crop Fund allowing it to subsidize all sectors and not just those related to Public Service Obligation such as some kinds of transportation and power plants. Last year the fund collected $972 million in levies on exports of palm oil and palm oil products to subsidize 2.3 billion liters of biodiesel.
