New South Wales under fire for reducing E10 consumption in fleet vehicles

September 6, 2018 |

In Australia, the Australian Associated Press reports that documents obtained under freedom of information laws show the New South Wales government is using less and less E10 despite promising in 2012 that it would mandate the fuel for use in government fleet vehicles to help drive demand. The government is expected to come under fire for hypocrisy by the opposition. Compared to 2011/12, agencies used 28% less biofuel in 2017/18. Last year, E10 accounted for just 44% of fuel used by the fleet.
