Atlantic Coast ethanol market steady despite inbound Hurricane Florence

In South Carolina, despite the expected onslaught of Hurricane Florence later this week, Platts reports that so far there has been little impact on the Atlantic Coast’s ethanol market. The lack of volatility is likely due to the high stocks that are common in the region as well as much of the US apart from the Gulf region that is the main export hub due to continued high production run rates at Midwest ethanol plants.
