Canadian National Railway embargo on Argo ethanol seen ending Friday

In Illinois, Reuters reports that Canadian National Railway cited oversupply and traffic congestion as reasons for halting its ethanol deliveries to Kinder Morgan’s benchmark Argo terminal on September 5 but could lift the embargo as early as Friday. With the market oversupplied and prices at multi-year lows, the temporary embargo hasn’t had any impact on prices.  ADM has been increasing supplies of ethanol to the Argo terminal, upsetting rivals by pushing down prices that have tightened margins for everyone else.
