Indonesian palm oil production hits four-year high in August

September 20, 2018 |

In Indonesia, Reuters reports that while Indonesia looks to absorb more palm oil through its B20 blending mandate, its production continues to grow. August saw production hit a four-year high at more than 4 million metric tons. Exports also slid slightly from July to 2.83 million tons while domestic consumption rose to 1.05 million tons, 100,000 tons more than the month prior. Although exports fell and domestic demand rose, stocks also rose to 4.64 million tons compared to 4.3 million tons in July.
