Pacific Biodiesel improves wastewater treatment thanks to state grant

In Hawaii, local media reports that Pacific Biodiesel benefited from Hawai‘i Technology Development Corporation grant funds to improve processes at its 5.5 million gallon per year biodiesel plant including upgrading its wastewater treatment plant and investments in a centrifuge system that allows for improved yellow and brown grease recovery from trap waste. The grant provided up to $100,000 in funds to the company, up to 20% reimbursement, as well as to 28 other companies across the state.
