Indian UCO biodiesel producer preparing to launch production by year’s end

In India, Bio D Energy has moved out of its pilot phase and into commercial collection of used cooking oil throughout the New Delhi Capital Region, collecting from more than 700 kitchens, and has expanded into Haryana and Punjab ahead of biodiesel production that will begin at its Haryana facility by year’s end. The company expects to see massive growth as one of the few UCO biodiesel producers nationally thanks to improved collection facilitated by national policy not only aimed at boosting blending but also at getting dirty UCO out of the food chain.
