Vietnam lowers fuel prices in line with falling petroleum with E5 at 84 cents per liter

November 6, 2018 |

In Vietnam, the government has reduced the pump price of E5 to 84 cents per liter in an attempt to boost demand as uptake continues to be slow. E0 as well as diesel prices were also lowered, while kerosene remained unchanged. The ministries lowered the fuel prices in response to fossil fuel prices dropping by $10 per barrel to $78 in late October. The aim was to keep inflation in check by lowering fuel prices in line with the drop in the barrel prices.
