#2 Croda launches 100% biobased surfactant

In the United Kingdom, chemical company Croda has launched a new, 100% biobased surfactant shortly after completing construction of a renewable ethylene oxide plant in Delaware.
The new ECO range of non-ionic surfactants offer improved emulsification, detergency and cleansing performance characteristics while delivering mild and stable formulations. They also quality for the USDA Biopreferred program.
“We are pleased to be able to offer such a wide range of 100% bio-based and 100% renewable ingredients to meet the needs of formulators and companies seeking to deliver more sustainable options without a compromise in performance or the need for extensive research and development time, adding to development cycles,” Sandra Breene, president of personal care and North America, tells Ink World Magazine.
