Brazilian ethanol and biodiesel production jump in November

In Brazil, Platts reports that ANP fuels agency data shows November production of both ethanol and biodiesel remained strong on the year. Ethanol production from sugarcane was 2.24 billion liters, more than 2% higher than the prior year, but it was still more than 30% lower than October as the sugarcane crush winds down. Ethanol production for the year through November was 15% higher on the year at 31.8 billion liters. For biodiesel, November production was 479.1 million liters, up nearly 24% from last year but down 4% from October’s record high of 500.2 million liters.
