Zimbabwe issues ethanol production license to unnamed third company

December 27, 2018 |

In Zimbabwe, local press reports that the government has issued a license to a third ethanol producer allowing it to sell ethanol onto the domestic market but the identity of the company hasn’t been revealed yet. The company is expected to begin producing ethanol “soon” and will ensure that in addition to Green Fuel and Triangle there will be sufficient ethanol supplies for blending 15%. Green Fuel has had challenges in supplying ethanol year-round to ensure sufficient volumes for blending so the mandate has occasionally been wound down to 5% or even less.
