Proposed Napa Junction ethanol plant gets County OK

December 31, 2018 |

In South Dakota, the Yankton County Commissioners have approved the conditional use permit for a proposed $200 million ethanol plant in Napa Junction which will allow the project to continue development with an eye to start construction this summer after securing state and federal permits. The facility will produce 70% of fuel ethanol and 30% grade B ethanol for industrial uses that will either be exported to South Korea or Japan, making it a different model than most new ethanol plants.
