Peru looks to raise biodiesel blending 1% annually over next five years

In Peru, the Nation newspaper reports that following the 2% biodiesel blend that was implemented on January 2 following just 1% blending prior to then, the country is hoping to boost its blending mandate by another 5% over the next five years, increasing 1% annually. The head of the fuels department at the industry and commerce ministry said the slow pace of implementation is meant to provide time to ensure controls and infrastructure are in place to ensure quality.
