In India, the Economic Times reports that Indian Oil is teaming with a German company to upgrade its biogas production facility to bio-CNG in a 50/50 joint venture. The company currently uses the biogas for power generation but decided it would get more value by upgrading the biogas into transportation fuel. The $3.56 million investment will produce 12,000 kg of bio-CNG daily at the biogas facility in Namakkal with sales expected to begin in July.
