City OKs Agri-Trading Corp’s request to expand rail line use for biodiesel feedstock transportation

In Iowa, the Sioux City City Council has agreed to allow Agri-Trading Corp to expand its use of the City’s rail lines in response to increased demand for the animal tallow the company sources from local businesses and exports, primarily to Louisiana for biodiesel feedstock. The company agreed with the City last year to use one of the tracks but it has found itself needing more track thanks to more tanker cars required to ship additional biodiesel feedstock.
