Thailand’s MCE aims to hit 100% ethanol production capacity by 2021

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports that Mae Sod Clean Energy expects to reach full capacity at its 260,000 liter per day ethanol facility in Tak province by 2021. The plant uses sugarcane as feedstock which will reach 1 million metric tons per year of demand when it achieves production capacity. At the moment, the plant is expected to run at 90% capacity in 2019 while using 600,000 tons of cane. The facility was first commissioned in 2009 producing 100,000 liters per day but grew to 200,000 liters per day in 2012.
