European Union set to accept minimum price deal on Argentinian biodiesel

January 15, 2019 |

In Belgium, Reuters reports that the European Commission is ready to accept a proposal by Argentina to set a minimum price for its biodiesel exports to Europe in lieu of anti-dumping tariffs, a proposal which stakeholders have been given until January 18 to comment upon before giving a final thumbs up, although apparently the EC hadn’t indicated what that minimum price would be. Proposed duties that are set to go into place for five years beginning Feb. 28 are between 25.0 and 33.4 percent.
