Benefuel secures land for Sarnia biodiesel plant

January 21, 2019 |

In Canada, Benefuel has secured land in Sarnia to site its proposed 75 million liter per year waste-based biodiesel plant after receiving funding late last year from Bioindustrial Innovation Canada, which is also based in Sarnia. The technology has been under demonstration for the past two years in Nebraska and the company is looking to leverage that learning for the two Canadian plants but is also looking at the US and EU as part of its growth strategy.
