#3 Vegan brand uses dried flowers, seaweed fiber for clothing

In California, vegan clothing label PANGAIA has launched a line of vegan “down” jackets which swaps goose feathers for dried wildflowers as insulation. The jacket also incorporates recycled plastic water bottles.

Launched in late 2018, the brand’s other products include shirts made from seaweed fiber and hoodies and track pants from recycled materials. All packaging is made from a bioplastic that composts completely in 24 weeks.

“With its basic clothing, PANGAIA aims to create a global open source platform for the latest eco-innovations and solutions connecting like-minded people and organizations interested in the environment,” the company says.
