In Washington, with an eye on having the year-round E15 rule in place by June 1 for the summer driving season, Reuters reports that the Environmental Protection Agency has sent its proposed rule to the White House Office of Budget for sign off. Afterwards, it will be published for public comment before being finalized. The agency said it is aiming to provide a policy in line with the president’s wishes to help corn farmers despite it being controversial with the oil industry.
