Ethanol exports hit new record in 2018 at 112,000 b/d

In Washington, Renewables Now reports that Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol exports jumped 28% in 2018 at 112,000 barrels per day, reaching a new record following the one set in 2017 with 91,000 b/d. Brazil received nearly half of its 2018 imports during the first quarter of the year, the traditional inter-harvest period between cane crushing seasons. It was the largest destination at an average of 33,000 b/d, followed by Canada at 23,000 b/d, India at 10,000 b/d, and then came the Netherlands and South Korea.
