Chinese imports remains at a trickle during March as US-China trade war continues

In China, Platts reports that ethanol imports during March were only 4% of that imported in March 2018 at just 7,389 cu m, compared to 76,468 cu m the year prior. The trade war between the US and China broke out in April 2018 which brought imports of US-origin ethanol to a screeching halt. Even with minimal imports, local traders believe there is sufficient volume in order to keep ethanol prices soft for the time being.
