EPA denies NWF and API’s requests to extend comment period on year-round E15

In Washington, the National Wildlife Federation as well as the American Petroleum Institute requested that the Environmental Protection Agency extend the public comment period for the proposed rule. EPA sent letters explaining our denial of these requests to each of these organizations, saying that the 39-day comment period was sufficient time to get feedback from the public while still being able to finalize the year-round E15 rules before the start of summer driving season on June 1.
