Maine governor vetoes bill aiming to ban E10 and higher

In Maine, the state’s new Democratic governor has wielded her veto power for the first time by ensuring a bill that sought to ban ethanol blends of 10% and higher won’t become law. Without what she deemed sufficient scientific evidence to demonstrate that E10 and higher is detrimental to public health, she said should couldn’t let it go through but could be open to it if sufficient new scientific evidence was brought forward. She since came into January, she has signed 103 bills that crossed her desk.
