Japanese car manufacturers to join Indonesia’s B30 road trial later this month

In Indonesia, the Jakarta Post newspaper reports that major Japanese car manufacturers including Toyota and Nissan have agreed to join the government’s B30 trial at the end of this month. The government recently boost the biodiesel blend to 20% despite some pushback from auto manufacturers, and now it is looking to go even further in order to help ease the increased supplies of biodiesel following Europe’s move against palm oil, citing its poor sustainability credentials.
