Neste wants to sell B100 in Estonia by summer but regulations may take three months

May 7, 2019 |

In Estonia, local press reports that it may take up to three months for the government to develop the legal framework that would allow Neste to sell its B100, a move the company had hoped to make this summer. It is already selling B100 in Sweden, Latvia and Finland, so it makes sense for it logistically to sell into the neighboring Estonian market. Neste’s use of PFAD as feedstock may be problematic because there are some concerned that using the palm oil byproduct may increase demand for palm oil as well.
