UCO collection to benefit charity on the rise in South Jakarta

In Indonesia, the environment agency for South Jakarta has begun collecting used cooking oil in its district that it then sells to biodiesel companies for use as feedstock, but the proceeds are going to social programs for the poor and orphans. By focusing on revenue generation for charity, the agency hopes to encourage residents and local administrations to donate their UCO rather than putting it into the sewage system that later causes block ups and other environmental damage.
