In Washington, Reuters reports that Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar wants to see how the Environmental Protection Agency approves applications for hardship waivers under the Renewable Fuel Standard reformed, calling the current requirements “misguided”. She also said financial institutions manipulate RIN trading. The candidate, who only garnered 1% of voter support in a Reuters/Ipsos poll earlier this month compared to front runner Joe Biden’s 29%, is looking for support in Iowa and her call to reform hardship waiver rules is seen as a nod towards the early voting state.
