India certifies 10% aviation biofuel for air force’s AN-32 aircraft

In India, the Business Standard newspaper reports the Centre for Military Aviation Certification has certified the use of 10% aviation biofuel for blending with fossil-based fuels for the Indian Air Force’s fleet of more than AN-32 aircraft, amount to about 100 million liters of biofuel consumption annually. The IAF tested the fuel previously and flew a demonstration during the Republic Day Parade on January 26 when it announced its intention to start transitioning to renewable fuels.
