NASA selects Aequor to represent USA at Global Entrepreneurship Summit

In California, Aequor was selected to represent the USA at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the Hague June 3-5.  NASA recommended Aequor for this honor because, after 3 years of pilot testing, Aequor’s small molecules were the only non-toxic remedy for the microbial and biofilm contamination in the water recycling/reuse system used on board the International Space Station. This is the same system that will be used in manned spacecraft to the Moon and Mars.  NASA had had earlier awarded Aequor its iTech Award in the Life Support category, calling biofilm “the #1 impediment to long-duration manned space travel” because biofilm forms thicker and faster in Space, causing serious problems for astronaut health and operations.

On Earth, Aequor’s library of “green,” non-toxic, synthesized chemicals work alone and in combinations to remove biofilm in minutes, prevent its formation for days, and kill high priority pathogens —  including the pandemic and bioterrorist threats and antimicrobial-resistant strains –the Superbugs.
