Fiberight starts taking household waste with full commissioning seen by July

May 29, 2019 |

In Maine, local press reports that the first truckloads of MSW began arriving last week at the long-delayed Fiberight facility as it starts to ramp up processing that will eventually lead to biofuel production. About a dozen of the 115 communities making up the Municipal Review Committee who has the feedstock supply deal with Fiberight will supply MSW during the first phases of commissioning while the rest should start delivering their waste by the beginning of July. Currently, the facility is only accepting household waste until it receives approval from the Department of Environmental Protection when it will be able to accept from schools, hospitals and other institutions.
