Trump believes year-round E15 should offset losses from hardship waivers

In Washington, Bloomberg reports that President Trump believes allowing year-round E15 should compensate for increased small refinery hardship waivers despite the two policies not being connected. The agriculture secretary is pushing for the Environmental Protection Agency to reissue the missing gallons from approved hardship waivers as part of the upcoming “reset” of the Renewable Fuels Standard while farm state Senators are pushing for more transparency in the waiver approval process and to limit the number issued.
