July 23, 2019 |

In Brazil, Platts reports that a survey of analysts shows ethanol production during H1 July could fall 9% on the year to 2.167 billion liters despite hydrous ethanol prices paying the equivalent of 14.02 cents/lb for raw sugar last Friday, more than 2.5 cents per pound higher than for VHP, or an equivalent of 59.30/mt higher. Analysts saw the crush in a range of 30 million to 44.5 million metric tons for the period against 45.21 million tons a year ago.
