In Malaysia, Bernama news agency reports that palm oil consumption is expected to increase by 800,000 metric tons by the end of the year thanks to implementation of the B10 mandate that began on February 1. Earlier in the year, the country was holding on to 7 million tons of palm oil stocks that weighed on palm oil prices but those have been drawn down significantly to 2.4 million tons. The government is also exploring the development of a fund to help with sustainability certification.
