French ethanol sales soar on back of ethanol kit installations

In France, local news reports that ethanol sales have increased by 50% over the past year on the back of increased availability and installation of E85 fuel kits in vehicles that allows them to use higher ethanol blends. Depending on the kit, it can cost between 500 and 1,600 euros which is later paid back in savings of up to 120 euros per month, depending on how much one drives. Newer vehicles that are still under manufacturer warranty are typically advised again installation of the kits because it can void the warranty.
