Leadership changes at Novozymes, new CFO, EVP

August 10, 2019 |

In Denmark, Novozymes announced that EVP and CFO Prisca Havranek-Kosicek was leaving immediately due to “personal reasons” and that Lars Green will join Novozymes A/S as EVP and CFO, with responsibility for Finance, IT, Legal and Investor Relations. This comes on the heels of their first half financial report last week that showed a decline in growth for several of their business units.

Peder Holk Nielsen, President & CEO said, “Our half-year sales performance is not satisfactory, but as expected, following the revised full-year outlook on June 6. Softness in US agriculture and some emerging markets, including the Middle East, has created headwinds. We’re confident sales growth will accelerate in the second half of the year as the Freshness platform, BioAg and Bioenergy all step up, and the Middle East comparison eases. We’re now in the process of executing on the updated strategy and reallocation program that we announced on June 16.”

New CFO, EVP Green will assume the new position as of September 1st. Green has worked for Novo Nordisk A/S for 27 years where, most recently, he has headed up Business Services and Compliance, and – as EVP – been part of Novo Nordisk’s Executive Management team. Before assuming his current position, he was head of Finance & Operations for Novo Nordisk in North America. He has been a member of Novozymes’ Board of Directors since 2014 and chairman of the Audit Committee.
