Indonesia biodiesel consumption at 2.95 billion liters through July

August 13, 2019 |

In Indonesia, Reuters reports that biodiesel consumption between January and July reached 2.95 billion liters under the higher B20 mandate, but total consumption for the year is expected to reach 6.2 billion liters. The country is aiming for B30 by the end of next year which could see consumption rise to 9.6 billion liters. Indonesia is aiming to increase its biodiesel blending mandate rapidly to reduce negative impacts on its currency from imports of fossil fuel as well as offset reduced demand from European markets.
