Innovate AND Implement: The Digest’s 2019 Multi-Slide Guide to ICM’s Ethanol and Biorefining
August 13, 2019
| Jim Lane
Innovation is great but without implementation, the story ends there. Not so for ICM, a Kanasas-based company that took its small business roots in a farming community and an idea and turned it into 1/3 of the world’s ethanol produced every year by ICM technologies. With over 21 patents they don’t just have the innovations and ideas, they have implemented them with over 108 ethanol plants designed by ICM.
Steve Hartig, VP of technology development at ICM, offered this illuminating overview of how they separate corn into its most valuable components, their fiber separation technology, advanced gasification technology, how their tech integrates into the vision, and more at ABLC 2019 in Washington, D.C.
