August 20, 2019 |

In Thailand, the Vietnam News Agency reports that the Thai government decided at a National Oil Palm Policy Committee of Thailand meeting earlier this week to approve a minimum oil price for oil palm farmers of 13 cents per liter for a maximum of four hectares of production. About 300,000 farmers are expected to benefit from the program once it is approved by the cabinet, which could happen in about two weeks. At the same meeting was discussed the impact on higher palm oil prices on the implementation of the B10 policy through the end of the year.
