August 21, 2019 |

In Wisconsin, Reuters reports that Marquis Energy has decided to cut ethanol production at its Necedah facility following the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to award 31 hardship waivers to small refineries under the Renewable Fuel Standard. The 100 million gallon per year facility will wind down production for an unknown period of time but the 400 million gallon per year facility in Hennepin, Illinois will continue to operate at full production capacity, at least for the time being.
