DC district court rules EPA right in its 2014-2016 RFS rulemaking

September 2, 2019 |

In Washington, Courthouse News reports that a DC district court ruled last Friday that the Environmental Protection Agency was right in its rulemaking of the Renewable Fuel Standard, ruling against complaints by both the oil industry who said blending mandates for 2014-2016 were too high as well as the biofuel industry who said they were too low. The three-judge panel said the oil industry’s complaints weren’t justified because the EPA had used studies and appropriate data to make decisions while it said the biofuels industry’s complaints were just a disagreement in policymaking.
